MyUI+ users will see the new Claim Status Tracker when they login to MyUI+. Users can now check the status of their claim(s), see pending issues and complete required action items in the Claim Status Tracker.

How to Verify Your Identity In-person at a USPS Location

Steps to Complete Your USPS Identity Verification:

  1. While in MyUI+, choose USPS In-Person Verification as your way to verify your identity.
     
  2. Click the link and complete your USPS registration. 
    (Note: you must have an email address to complete this process)
     
  3. Once you submit, USPS will show you a bar code/enrollment code - you will also receive an email from the Unemployment Insurance Division with this information.
     
    • You will have seven days to go in-person to a USPS office
       
    • You must bring with you:
      • Your bar code/enrollment code, which can be a printed page, screenshot or you can show the email with the code
      • Required ID verification documents (see details below)
      • Proof of your current address
         
  4. If you pass this process, your claim will continue. You can check the status of your identity verification in MyUI+.

    If you fail to complete the USPS in-person process, you may be asked to verify your identity in-person with TrueID.

Bring These Things to USPS:

  1. Your bar code/enrollment code
     
  2. ID Verification Documents Accepted at USPS
    • State Driver’s License
    • State ID Card
    • U.S. Armed Forces or uniformed service ID card 
      (*requires a second ID with your address, see below)
    • U.S. Passport 
      (*requires a second ID with your address, see below)
       
  3. *Second ID for Proof of Your Current Address - USPS will use the address on your ID for verification. 
    If you live somewhere other than the address listed on your ID, or if your ID does not have your address, you will need to provide proof of address with one of these documents:
    • Lease, mortgage or deed of trust
    • Voter registration card
    • Vehicle registration card
    • Home or vehicle insurance policy

 

USPS WILL NOT ACCEPT social security cards, credit cards, utility bills, school IDs, medical marijuana cards, concealed carry licenses or expired IDs.
