RECEIVE LAYOFF & JOB SEPARATION ASSISTANCE
Layoff assistance, information and resources are available to employers through your local Colorado Workforce Center.
LAYOFF SERVICES PROVIDED
- Rapid Response
We offer workforce services related to restructuring and/or downsizing your business. Services include, but are not limited to, consultation on layoff aversion strategies, onsite workshops for employees in transition, job placement assistance, and information on unemployment benefits.
- Job Seeker Services
Workforce Centers also offer a variety of resources and programs for laid off workers. Contact a Business Services Representative at your local Workforce Center to find out more information regarding resources and services available to job seekers.
- Responding to Job Separations
When an employee is separated from employment and files a claim to collect Unemployment Insurance Benefits, any employers listed on the claim are notified via letter and are required to submit job-separation documentation.
- Final Payment of Wages
Review the requirements regarding the payment of final wages when an employee separates or is terminated.
- Premium Rates and Claims for Benefits
Premiums are contributions paid by Colorado employers to help protect the economy. We administer these contributions by paying Unemployment Insurance benefits to persons unemployed through no fault of their own.
