The Colorado Unemployment Insurance (UI) Division participates in the State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES). SIDES exchanges provide speed, accuracy and security to the processing of unemployment claims. Employers and Third Party Administrators (TPAs) can enroll in the SIDES E-Response exchanges inside MyUI Employer+.

Employers choosing to participate in the SIDES SI exchange will be automatically enrolled in the Earnings Verification (EV), Determinations and Decisions (DD), and the Additional Fact Finding (ADF) exchanges. Employers choosing to participate in the SIDES MPC exchange will be automatically enrolled in the SIDES EV exchange. Employers choosing to participate in both the SI and MPC exchanges will be automatically enrolled in all SIDES Exchanges.

Users will need to enter a point-of-contact for each exchange they are participating in.

Note: Information requests and correspondences from the selected exchanges will be sent to the email address entered.

Note: The PINs entered are the PINs that must be used to access the online SIDES exchanges and respond to information requests. Employers will not be able to access the online SIDES exchanges or respond to information requests without the correct PINs.

- Click “Next”.
Step 3. Confirm SIDES E-Response Registration

The verification link will open MyUI Employer+ in a new internet browser tab with a message confirming the email address.

Maintaining an Employer SIDES E-Response Account
- From the Employer Home page, click the “SIDES E-Response” tab in the left navigation menu.
- Select the radial button next to the related SIDES account.
- Click “Maintain ESIDES Account” to continue.
Employers can reference or update their SIDES E-Response account information, including PINs and contact information.
Important: When an employer receives a SIDES email notification request, the existing PIN at the time of the request is the PIN that must be used to access the SIDES website and submit a response. If a PIN is changed the same day a SIDES email notification request is sent, or anytime after the request was sent, the PIN in place at the time the SIDES email notification was sent is the PIN an employer will need to access and respond to the request.
- Click “Submit” to save updates in the SIDES E-Response Maintenance screen.
ESIDES PIN Confirmation Correspondences
Once an employer is enrolled in SIDES E-Response, or an ESIDES PIN has been updated, a correspondence titled “ESIDES PIN Confirmation” is sent to the employer’s MyUI Employer+ account. The correspondence contains all pertinent information necessary to access the employer’s SIDES E-Response account.
- From the Employer Home page, click the “View Correspondences” tab in the left navigation menu.
- Enter the date range for the correspondence in the fields provided on the Correspondence Search screen.
- Click “Search”.
The “ESIDES PIN Confirmation” correspondence will be listed in the “Description” column on the Details screen.
- Click the Document ID hyperlink to view the correspondence.
The ESIDES PIN Confirmation correspondence details will open in a new window.
SIDES Separation Information (SI) Email Notifications
When a former employee files a UI claim, the former employer will receive a SIDES SI notification via email requesting they login to their SIDES account and complete a response.
SIDES E-Response System Website
When an employer receives a SIDES notification email, the employer will need to login to the SIDES E-Response system website to provide the requested information. Employers may also appeal decisions on determinations on the SIDES website.
To login to the SIDES E-Response website employers will need to:
- Select Colorado as the State.
- Enter the SIDES exchange they are responding to.
- Enter the employer FEIN.
