(DENVER) – The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) today announced the launch of the Colorado Career Trail Guide, a portal that connects jobseekers to personalized career pathways, likely to lead to economic success.

The Colorado Career Trail Guide is the product of a partnership between the State of Colorado and Research Improving People’s Lives (RIPL), a tech-for-social-impact nonprofit that works with governments to help them use data, science, and technology to improve public policy and lives. A forward-thinking, interdepartmental team led by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) and the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC), worked with RIPL to create this data-driven and user-friendly tool for Colorado jobseekers at any stage of their employment journey.

“CDLE is excited to deliver on our mission of promoting a thriving employment environment with opportunity for every Coloradan to prosper," said Joe Barela, CDLE Executive Director.  "In partnership with RIPL, CDLE has created a new tool that helps Coloradans connect their unique skills and experiences to careers, creating a future-ready Colorado."

The Colorado Career Trail Guide delivers highly customized recommendations based on users work history, unique skills and identified job search priorities. Powered by the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud Colorado Career Trail Guide uses a combination of Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), state administrative data, and cloud computing to generate custom recommendations and job matches. By combining technology with a human-centered approach, the Colorado Career Trail Guide will help the state’s workforce prepare for future jobs by connecting people to career pathways that will lead to economic success.

Future iterations of Colorado Career Trail Guide will integrate with CDLE's existing suite of tools that support jobseekers in navigating their career, for example, Connecting Colorado. These integrations will enhance the user experience across the tools that jobseekers leverage to navigate their careers.
