MyUI+ users will see the new Claim Status Tracker when they login to MyUI+. Users can now check the status of their claim(s), see pending issues and complete required action items in the Claim Status Tracker.

Press Release: State Labor Department Highlights No-Cost Services for Employers and Job Seekers During Week Two of Workforce Development Month

(DENVER) — During the second week of Workforce Development Month, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) will be highlighting the many no-cost services the 52 Workforce Centers statewide provide to both job seekers and employers alike. While the first week of the annual month-long celebration was all about the Future Of Work, week two will bring attention to how Colorado’s Workforce System gives employers a Competitive Edge by improving job quality to recruit the best talent and by giving job seekers the tools they need to  jumpstart their careers. 

CDLE recognizes Workforce Development Month every year by focusing attention on the critical role workforce development services play in Colorado’s commitment to support a thriving environment for workers and employers throughout the state. 

While many Coloradans may be familiar with CDLE’s suit of services for job seekers including the state’s labor exchange, ConnectingColorado.com, employers may not realize they have access to recruiting and hiring support in today’s tight labor market like the Job Quality Framework that provides practical steps employers can take to improve job quality. A highlight of additional resources are listed below:

  • CO Career Trail Guide: Delivers data-driven career recommendations for you to explore new career paths that may leverage your skills in a new way, boost your income, or for which there are many jobs available in Colorado. 
  • Strengthening Photovoltaic and Renewable Careers (SPARC) Workforce Development Program:  Provides high-quality education and training opportunities to create high-paying jobs that ultimately support the protection of Colorado’s environment. 
  • Colorado Pathway Home Grant: Provide pre- and post-release employment and training services to justice-involved individuals. 
  • Trade Adjustment Assistance Program (TAA): Provides a variety of benefits for workers who have lost their jobs due to foreign competition including retraining, job search assistance, relocation assistance, extensions of Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits and/or a wage subsidy for those 50 years of age or older who  start a full time job that pays less than previous trade certified employment.

    Resume and Cover Letter Workshop 
    Focused on the importance of customizing your resume, attendees will learn how to write effective accomplishment statements, how to produce a cover letter and a professional reference list.
