Protect Yourself Against Scams

Scammers continue to target Colorado unemployment claimants using fake websites, emails, text messages, and automated phone calls in an effort to compromise claimants’ accounts and steal unemployment benefits. Be on the lookout for scams and always make sure to follow these best practices:

  • Before completing each weekly certification, verify that your address, phone number, email, and payment method are correct and have not been altered.
  • Do not share your password with anyone.
  • Be careful about clicking links in emails and text messages. CDLE will never send you a text message with a link to log into your MyUI+ account.
  • When logging into a page that looks like MyUI+, review the address bar in your browser to make sure it shows the genuine address for MyUI+: https://myui.clouduim.cdle.state.co.us/Claimant/Core/Login.ASPX.
  • If you are unsure about any link asking you to log into your account, please disregard the link and instead access your MyUI+ account from the official CDLE website at ColoradoUI.gov.

Colorado Jumpstart

There’s still time to take advantage of Colorado Jumpstart, a monetary incentive program designed to support unemployed Coloradans as they return to work. Colorado unemployment claimants currently receiving either state unemployment benefits or Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) benefits may be eligible to receive an incentive payment of $1,200 if they return to work before June 26, 2021. Unfortunately, claimants receiving Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), claimants participating in workshare programs, and out-of-state claimants are not eligible to participate in Colorado Jumpstart.

Participating in Colorado Jumpstart is easy. If you’ve returned to work or accepted a job offer, simply answer yes to the “Have you returned to work” question during your weekly certification. You’ll then be presented with an option to opt in to Colorado Jumpstart. You’ll receive the first half of your incentive after approximately four weeks of employment, with the second half paid after approximately eight weeks of employment. For more information, visit ColoradoUI.gov.

The first Jumpstart payments, for participating claimants who returned to work during the benefit week of May 16–22, will be issued later this week.
