(DENVER) — This November, Apprenticeship Colorado and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) proudly launch November as Colorado Apprenticeship Month. This month-long initiative showcases the transformative power of Registered Apprenticeship Programs in driving workforce development and business growth across the state of Colorado.

“Apprenticeships are a cornerstone of Colorado's economic future," emphasized CDLE Executive Director Joe Barela. "They provide a dual benefit: equipping our workforce with in-demand skills while offering businesses a pipeline of talented, dedicated employees. As we celebrate Apprenticeship Month this November, we recognize the individuals and the organizations championing the apprenticeship model and doing the work.”

Now in its second year as a State Apprenticeship Agency (SAA), Apprenticeship Colorado continues to expand its impact. During the first year as an SAA, Apprenticeship Colorado registered 101 new apprenticeship programs.  Apprenticeship Colorado is recognized by the US Department of Labor to:

Register and oversee programs in Colorado for Federal purposes;
Serve as the primary point of content for registered apprenticeships in the state;
Is responsible for the program’s compliance with state and federal laws and standards;
And is responsible for the expansion of high-quality program development.

"We're not just creating Registered Apprenticeship Programs; we're building a statewide ecosystem where education, industry, and talent converge,” said Apprenticeship Colorado Director Denise Miller. “This month, we celebrate our progress and look ahead to even greater innovations in registered apprenticeship."

During Apprenticeship Month, Apprenticeship Colorado and CDLE will be highlighting resources, content, and events designed to increase awareness of the benefits of creating, registering, and expanding registered apprenticeship programs on the Apprenticeship website and across social media.
