(DENVER) — The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) announced today a significant commitment to economic growth in Southeast Colorado with the relocation of the La Junta Workforce Center to a newly remodeled, modern facility. The move signals an enhanced and more efficient approach to workforce development in the region. The new office is centrally located at 17 W. 4th St. in La Junta, CO 81050 and will open to the public on November 3, 2025.

The new location will serve as a hub, ensuring that the valuable services provided are easily accessible to all members of the community, from small business owners to those seeking their next career opportunity.

“We are excited about the move to our new location, which will allow us to serve our community even better,” said Suzanne Miller, Director of the Colorado Rural Alliance, formerly known as the Colorado Rural Workforce Consortium. “We are committed to helping individuals find meaningful employment and cultivating a skilled workforce that meets the talent needs of business and industry.”

Colorado Rural Alliance is a subset of Workforce Colorado — the statewide network of state and county-run workforce regions that provide localized workforce development services in all four corners of the state. It provides an array of comprehensive, no-cost services for both individuals and employers, helping them navigate the challenges of today’s labor market. These services include:

For Businesses: Recruitment, retention and upskilling services; assistance with training and certifications; internships, apprenticeships and other work-based learning opportunities; labor market information; and support for connecting to community resources.

For Job Seekers: Job search assistance, career counseling, skill development, employment services, career assessment and exploration, Veteran services, supportive services and access to various workshops and training programs.

To learn more about the comprehensive services offered, visit CDLE’s Workforce Centers webpage at: cdle.colorado.gov/jobs-training/workforce-centers.

The La Junta Workforce Center will be closed at its existing location October 27 - 31 during the transition. The community can still get services during this time by contacting the Pueblo Workforce Center at (719) 562-3731.
