Press Release: State Rehabilitation Council Welcomes New Members

(DENVER) — The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) announced today three new appointments and four reappointments to the State Rehabilitation Council (SRC). The SRC is a governor-appointed public-private partnership that reviews, analyzes, advises and partners with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) within CDLE to effectively deliver services that are equitable, inclusive and lead to quality of life for Coloradans with disabilities through competitive integrated employment, community integration and independent living.

Newly appointed members include:

  • Kim Erickson of Denver will serve as a representative of the Client Assistance Program.
  • Miranda Podmore of Denver will serve as a representative of business, industry and labor.
  • Olivia Jane St. Onge of Pueblo will serve as a representative of Community Service Providers.

Reappointed members to serve a second term include:

Sherrell Bethel of Colorado Springs will serve as a representative of a parent training and information center for individuals with disabilities.
Josh Davies of Denver will serve as a representative of business, industry and labor.
Katie Oliver of Thornton will serve as a representative of the advisory panel established under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Bobbie Rosa of Ignacio will serve as a representative of the federal section 121 program for tribal communities, representing Southern Ute Tribal partners. 

“We are so excited to welcome three incredible community members to our State Rehabilitation Council,” said DVR Director Kristin Corash. “One in four Coloradans experiences a disability, and this advisory board plays a pivotal role in ensuring equitable access to career opportunities. We are thrilled to work together to make sure every Coloradan with a disability has the support they need to explore their full career potential.”
