Colorado Current Population Survey (CPS) Demographic Data

CPS data are presented as 12-month moving averages. Each monthly data point is an average of that month and the previous 11 months. 

Twelve month moving averages are calculated differently than the official estimates of unemployment and should not be compared directly. Learn more about using CPS subnational data at BLS Local Area Unemployment Statistics.

Data for 2025 does not include October estimates due to the lapse in appropriations that occurred during the federal government shutdown. As a result, CPS data for 2025 is not directly comparable to other years.
