Nonfarm payroll jobs increased 3,000 over the month from May to June to 2,446,800 jobs, according to the survey of business establishments. Private sector payroll jobs decreased 300 and government increased 3,300. Colorado has had 32 consecutive months of payroll job gains.
(DENVER) June is National Safety Month and the Department of Labor and Employment is using this annual focus on safety to honor six Colorado companies for their exemplary track-record in workplace safety. The companies were honored by Governor John Hickenlooper in a reception at the Governor's Executive Residence on Tuesday, June 24.
Among the honorees are Ewing Trucking and Construction in Edwards and Rio Grande Mexican Restaurants, based in Fort Collins. Four companies with locations in the Denver Metro area were also recognized:
