Provider Education Course Catalog

Serving as the entry point to the Division’s Accreditation programs, this course introduces the administrative, legal, and medical aspects of the Colorado Workers’ Compensation system.

All medical providers are welcome to take this course. However, Level I Accreditation can only be awarded to MDs, DOs, chiropractors, dentists, podiatrists, PAs, and NPs with prescriptive authority.

This course updates currently accredited providers with the Division of Workers’ Compensation’s rules, medical treatment guidelines, and documentation standards.

Currently, Level I accredited providers who are seeking to renew their accreditation are welcome to take this course.

This course provides physicians with a further understanding of the administrative, legal, and medical aspects of workers’ compensation. Specifically, this course educates physicians in performing impairment ratings using the American Medical Association Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 3rd Edition Revised.

Currently, Level I accredited physicians (MDs and DOs) are welcome to take this course.

This course updates currently accredited physicians with the Division of Workers’ Compensation’s rules, medical treatment guidelines, and documentation standards. This course also includes skill-building workshops pertaining specifically to performing impairment ratings.

Currently, Level II accredited physicians (MDs and DOs) who are seeking to renew their accreditation are welcome to take this course.

This course trains providers in documenting a patient’s functional progress, including the provision of a functional assessment and psychological screen using Division-approved tests.

Who can take this course? Any medical provider who has completed the Level I or Level II Accreditation course within the last three years.
