Press Release: Colorado’s Office of New Americans Establishes a Global Talent Task Force

DENVER - The Office of New Americans (ONA) within the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) has established a Global Talent Task Force (GTTF). This task force will review existing workforce pathways and consider opportunities to improve economic integration for New Americans in Colorado.

On June 3, 2022, Governor Jared Polis signed SB 22-140 into law.

Press Release:Expected Revisions to Colorado Nonfarm Payroll Jobs

First quarter 2022 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) results indicate Colorado total nonfarm payroll jobs estimates will be revised up for this period with the release of benchmarked estimates in March 2023. March 2022 estimates are expected to be revised up by about 8,800 nonfarm payroll jobs, or three-tenths of a percentage point. January and February 2022 estimates are expected to be revised up by 7,400 and 9,400, respectively.

Press Release: Colorado Employment Situation – July 2022

According to the survey of households, Colorado’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell one-tenth of a percentage point in July to 3.3 percent. This marks the lowest rate since February 2020, when it was 2.8 percent. The national unemployment rate also declined by one-tenth of a percentage point and reached the pre-pandemic rate of 3.5 percent.
