A Division Independent Medical Examination (DIME) is a legal medical opinion sought by an injured worker or an insurer when there's a dispute about the date of Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI) and/or the impairment rating. It aims to resolve disputes without going to court, promoting resolution and minimizing legal conflicts. DIME Physicians serve on a DIME physician panel to provide an unbiased independent medical examination.

Requirements to Join the DIME Panel
- Level II Accreditation
- Engage in at least 384 hours of direct patient care each year OR 384 hours of direct patient care during the previous 5 years with certification or medical education courses
- Board-certified or eligible
- Active Colorado medical license without limitations or restrictions
