Medical Utilization Review

This peer review program is designed to evaluate a health care provider's treatment of an injured worker. Any insurer, self-insured employer, or claimant may request a Medical Utilization Review. Medical Utilization Review proceedings may result in a change of provider, retroactive denial of fees and/or revocation of the physician’s accreditation from the Division.  The Director will issue an order for these proceedings based on the recommendations from a panel of peer health care committee members.
